Arts and Crafts inspiration

When I’m thinking about Craftsman house plans, I like to browse Flickr.com for inspiration.

Which of these pieces would you choose in furnishing your ideal Craftsman home? I really like the high-backed, dark wood bench against the wall.

I love the supersaturated colors in this photo, even if they might not 100% represent the colors of this Craftsman-style home.

For more inspiration, check out this entire photo set of bungalows in Sacramento, California. A few of them are of the “high water” variety, built with the porches and first floor well above the ground. Sacramento used to flood regularly–so much so that at one point the city raised its older downtown area by an entire story.
